Under the guidance of the practice’s physician-owners, the Practice Administrator facilitates the growth and success of the practice through leadership, direction, and day-to-day management. The Practice Administrator works closely with the Practice Manager and other staff to effectively and efficiently provide excellent orthopedic care in the areas of provider expertise, a professional and compassionate experience for patients who seek and receive medical care, and a work environment for employees that build on their strengths and optimizes their ability to support the practice. Specific key functions include:
Develops and implements a strategic plan with the goal of growth and financial stability while retaining and enhancing the practice’s reputation as a premier provides
Identifies areas of growing and/or underutilized services to develop strategies to improve access
Leads the practice in pursuing quality incentives, including MACRA/MIPS and VBR
Develops excellent working relationships with group physicians and providers
Manages staff directly or indirectly ensuring that the practice is in a position to attract and retain the highest quality applicants
Coordinates with outside vendors, hospitals, and service providers, ensuring the needs of the practice are sufficiently met
Coordinates all aspects of the operation directly or indirectly, including but not limited to Facilities/Building Maintenance, Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Patient Relations, Financial Management, Information Technology
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or equivalent required, Master’s degree preferred; 5+ years in medical office or healthcare management required.
