The Director of Physician Contracting is responsible for developing and supervising physician contracting and physician compensation models, including the planning and implementation of a unified model for Beaumont Health. The Director is responsible for evaluating existing relationships with Beaumont Health business partners and proposing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy. Specific responsibilities include developing, monitoring and improving contract and processes. In addition, responsible for collaborating with the key leadership members on FMV and commercially reasonable analyses, overseeing staff supervision, training and education; and coordinating contract terms with departments.
Lead the implementation and improvement of contract processes with a focus on efficiency, budgetary controls, regulatory compliance, and policy adherence. Oversee the development of standardized guides, forms and templates (working with legal) as indicated. Hire, supervise, train and evaluate staff.
Act as the primary contact for setting contract terms with health system departments. Evaluates exhibits and language pertaining compensation rates and structures, ensuring standardization, and verifying budgetary approvals.
Serves as the administrative lead for the consolidated contracting database and primary point of contact for the Meditract physician contracting module. Work with legal to develop standardized templates, contract exhibits, and other contract documents. Work closely with divisional leadership when planning integration and system updates.
Work with divisional and department leadership to incorporate new Beaumont Health compensation models into contracts. Phase 2 will include focused efforts on contingent contracts, ICAs and PSAs.
Understand the role of each legacy function, including accounting/finance, payroll, HR, and operational leadership, and develop a plan for integration. Collaborates closely with recruitment, onboarding, and service line leadership.
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree in Health Care or Business Administration strongly preferred.
5-7 years of experience working with physician contracts
