Responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating Bon Secours Health System, Inc – Provider Networks & Medical Groups (BSMG) operational financial functions. Responsible as the financial officer for the oversight of financial operations of the market physician practices and relating supporting services. Reports directly to BSHSI CFO. Works directly with the SVP, Provider Networks to develop and implement opportunities and strategies to optimize BSMG across 4 states and 5 Local Systems. Works directly with SVP Provider Networks to develop a Management Services Organization for employed and independent physicians. Works collaboratively with BSMG operations and shared service physician revenue cycle to improve billing, collections and accounts receivable. Works with Director of Provider compensation and Human Resources to develop and implement all provider compensation for over 1100 providers across BSHSI.Works with Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) leaders on CIN financial forecasting, including modeling distribution models, shared savings strategies and other financial strategies.
Responsible for the reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of the financial functions: monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Responsible for the development and achievement of the annual operational and capital budget planning. Responsible for operational financial management including but not limited to access, productivity and staffing. Develops the long term strategic growth and regional network plans as well as the negotiations of major financial transactions. This position ensures the development of practice acquisition; business case analysis, valuation and fair-market analysis are completed in such manner as to protect the assets of BSMG.
Works collaboratively with all Physician Leaders, Local System Executives and all Finance Leaders to insure consistency, comprehensiveness and systemness of efforts. Ensures compliance with BSHSI policies and with governmental and other regulations related to BSMG. Present financial performance of Bon Secours Medical Group to Boards and senior management.
Knowledge of advanced financial and accounting principles normally acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration required. Master’s Business Administration preferred.
Requires seven to ten years of progressively more responsible work experience with provider networks, physicians groups, finance and/or managed care.
Requires previous work experience demonstrating an exceptional level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to deal effectively in delicate, sensitive and/or complex situations with a wide variety of influential internal and external personnel and make presentations before groups including regulatory agencies.
