We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Addiction Psychiatrist in one of the largest Chemical Dependency Recovery Programs (CDRP) in our Northern California Region. The Addiction Psychiatrist is based in the northern part of the San Francisco Bay (close to Napa/Sonoma and the City of San Francisco) and reports out of our CDRP located in Vallejo, CA. This is a dynamic opportunity to work with a highly skilled and qualified interdisciplinary team providing patient care to thousands in need of this viable resource!
Here are some highlights of the position responsibilities and points to note.
Full day treatment is open 7 days/week
Step down intensive recovery program is 3-6 days and return to work approximately 8-12 weeks following treatment followed by 2 years of step down treatment
New patient intake time is 1 hour and routine follow-up/return visits are 30 minutes
All CDRP physicians rotate consult liaison (CL) work in the medical center
Crisis shifts will be one day per week and availability for emergency department call during the day only. ED physicians handle all after hour addiction emergencies
Physician back up for after hours on call is every 4 nights but minimal requirements to be physically present
Patient population consists of 40%-50% Bupenorphine patients
Opportunities are available to educate on addiction medicine in the community and promote the CDRP as a resource
Teaching opportunities are also available—working with Adult Family Medicine residents rotating through the facility
Strong customer service skills are essential and required in this role
