Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital), a 289-bed freestanding children’s hospital and Level III trauma center, and Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, have an exceptional opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric physiatrist, with three or more years of experience, to lead and develop a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation program. This practice and leadership opportunity is part of the esteemed Nicklaus Children’s Brain Institute and focused on building a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation program throughout Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
Included in the health system are more than 10 outpatient centers located throughout South Florida, with a robust outpatient rehab network of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and applied behavioral analysis team members. Clinical responsibilities would include outpatient/multi-disciplinary clinic participation including spasticity, neuromuscular, brachial plexus, and neuro-oncology, nerve conduction studies (NCS)/electromyogram (EMG) testing and inpatient consults.
