The position of Risk Management Coordinator for SSM Health Saint Louis will report to the Regional Director of Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management. The Risk Management Coordinator will focus on coordinating activities that eliminate or minimize losses due to personal injury, professional liability, property damage or citations from regulatory agencies for SSM Health Saint Louis.
Identifies loss exposure, risk control priorities and implement practical problem solving approaches to prevent or minimize loss
Develops and coordinates educational programs for employees and staff on topics related to risk management, event entry, loss prevention, safety and regulatory issues
Develops, maintains, distributes, and provides in-services related to risk and claims data
Disseminates data related to claims patters and risk control
Bachelor’s Degree required
Certified Healthcare Compliance through Compliance Certification Board is ideal.
Minimum three - five years related experience
Strong computer skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other core MS software)
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work with tracer management databases.
Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and build collaborative action plans to proactively resolve risk factors.
Excellent phone and customer services skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a complex and matrix organization with multiple and competing priorities.
Has knowledge of and maintains competencies with the TJC, CMS, state licensure standards and/or regulations
