Operating out of theCorporate Office in Dallas, Texas and reporting directly to Tenetâs ChiefMedical Officer, the Director of Clinical Research has responsibility foroversight of clinical quality assurance functions and research activities ofthe enterprise. He/she ensures planning,coordination, control, and continuous improvements processes and methods areestablished to control the quality, as well as assess and support thecompliance of clinical development projects and research with good clinicalpractice standards.
The Director of ClinicalResearch has responsibility for the creation and overall leadership of theTenet Clinical Research Initiatives and Department. This position partners with PhysicianLeadership to incorporate clinical research partnership internally andexternally, as well as provide oversight of operations for quality, compliance,and operational functions. Oversightincludes facility, market, group, and hospital service center located at theTenet Corporate Office in Dallas, Texas.
The Director of ClinicalResearch also has responsibility for the direction, administration, evaluation,and coordination of strategic and operational functions of all clinicalresearch service lines for the Tenet enterprise. He/she supports and directs the ongoingdevelopment of hospital-based and enterprise-wide clinical research servicesincluding operating objectives and business strategies. Further, the Director ensures alignment withTenet philosophy, strategy, and business objectives.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE,ATTRIBUTES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years ofrelated research experience in a leadership (oversight) capacity.
Experience in a clinicalresearch capacity including coordination, management, and strategic developmentof programs.
Knowledge of the regulatoryand compliance structures related to clinical research.
Solid history of relationshipgrowth success with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicalresearch sponsors and physicians.
Leading track record ofsuccess in study planning, execution, data cleaning, database locking, studyreport generation and regulatory inspection.
In-depth understanding andexperience with clinical data management.
Experience leading a rapidlychanging organization, as well as ability to evaluate and resolve complexproblems.
Thorough knowledge ofclinical research concepts, practices, and FDA regulations and ICH Guidelinesregarding drug development phases, clinical trials, clinical study design, anddata management methods.
Business Acumen and understanding ofoperations, finance, and technology.
Understands major trends inhealthcare, managed care and reimbursements, and is familiar with informaticstrends and tools.
