The Program Director for Health Outcomes & Analytic Program Management will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, closure, and transitioning of Health Outcomes & Analytics Department projects. This position supports the core business activities of the CHRISTUS System Health Outcomes & Analytics Department within the Clinical Excellence Division by delivering high level program management expertise and project execution. Key responsibilities include resource and capacity planning, project plan development, implementation, issue resolution, and risk mitigation, and feasibility and ROI assessment, for new process, reports, services, and analyses. The program director will prepare all documentation necessary for project plan delivery to key stakeholders, ensuring quality and timeliness of work performed and the communication of final products through established communication platforms, such as Microsoft Projects, SharePoint and Service Now. Efforts will require effective collaboration with clinical and information management leaders to improve current operations, innovative analytics solutions, and needed data governance. In order to be successful in this role, the incumbent will possess excellent communication and facilitation skills, the ability to work collaboratively across a diverse array of internal stakeholders, a demonstrated expertise in delivering information on program status, risks, deadlines, budget, and other related activities to stakeholder groups and upper level leadership for a variety of projects within the overarching Health Outcomes & Analytics program. Under the direction of the System Director of Health Outcome & Analytics, the program director is responsible for managing efforts that achieve project goals and objectives by establishing appropriate schedules and methods to identify, evaluate, implement, and maintain Health Outcome & Analytic services that transform and/or enhance patient care and operational workflow for CHRISTUS Health associates and the patients and communities we serve.
Designs, develops and maintains project plans using organizational platforms, such as SharePoint, Microsoft Projects, and ServiceNow.
Directs and manages project work and reports project status and accomplishments, ensuring timely project delivery
Maintains ongoing communication with internal stakeholders and external partners on the development and implementation of Health Outcomes & Analytic programs
Work with System Director of Health Outcomes & Analytics to convene and facilitate provider and advisory committee meetings, ensuring timely material preparation, agenda development, work plan execution, and the completion of required committee follow up items
Develops collaborative relationships with internal departments and external vendors that interface with the Clinical Excellence Division for the execution of complex projects and implementation plans
Works with operations teams to design and oversee ongoing program evaluation to ensure projects are successful and continue to yield improvements in analytics and patient care
Serves as a key member of the Health Outcomes & Analytics team by facilitating requirements/design sessions, and producing deliverables
Partners with clinical leaders to optimize operations to support successful implementation and maintenance of analytic solutions
Develops organizational tools such as project plans, timelines, meeting agendas, conceptual models and presentations to document and communicate project goals and needs, engages stakeholders and define deadlines and accountabilities
Upon completion, assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for each project as necessary
Develops, maintains and activates systems for deviations from project plans to facilitate decision-making, adjustment to plans and communication to project leadership.
Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare related field required (Master's preferred)
Expertise in design and development of project plans, including business purpose, charter, scope, Gantt charts, resource, cost and quality management, and any other needed tools for success
SharePoint and Microsoft Projects proficiency strongly preferred
Knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare analytics for acute and ambulatory care settings preferred (NHSN, NDNQI, CMS: IQR, IPPS, VBP, RRP, HAC, etc.)
Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in a large complex healthcare system, serving multi-disciplinary customers required
Process Improvement experience preferred
Experience in healthcare quality and regulatory programs strongly preferred
Previous experience facilitating teams or leading projects
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Excellent prioritization, organizational and program management skills
Must be able to present results to senior leadership and region stakeholders.
Must be a team player and be willing to collaborate and assist with members of the team as necessaryPMP Certification preferred
