In your challenging and rewarding role as Program Manager, you will be planning, developing and executing ongoing program(s) that impact(s) a significant segment of the organization under occasional guidance.
Community Based, Inter-Institutional Student Program
Develop, implement and support a comprehensive program for inter-institutional, inter-professional, health-related learning.
Work in collaboration with Alliance Faculty Collaborative and Faculty Directors to implement student activities
Assist with the creation of all program materials (e.g. scopes of work, MOUs, promotional materials, student agreement forms, programs, orientation material, etc)
Coordinate and oversee student events and acitivities
Oversee student progress throughout program and serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and community partners
Coordinate and/or teach training sessions and monitor student team building activities
Oversee the creation of student deliverables
Coordinate and plan the evaluation of the student program; support on-going monitoring of program activities and maintain databases for program monitoring
Support program evaluation activities and paper writing
Ensure students are connected to appropriate resources for dissemination of project findings
Create and maintain relationships with faculty at multiple educational institutions
Schedule and coordinate monthly meetings, create meeting materials (e.g. slides and agendas)
Update faculty on progress of student program
Revise, update, or create materials as needed (e.g. memorandums of understanding, workplans, tracking of student activities, etc)
Aid faculty in student recruitment (e.g. create profession-directed advertising materials and present on behalf of MVA when necessary)
Update and maintain a shared electronic workspace where faculty can access IPE materials
Assist with faculty dissemination and visibility efforts
Other IPE Initiatives:
Design and coordinate capacity building activities for faculty
Work with partnering community organizations to engage community partners during student program and afterwards
Manage community partner requests and connect community organizations to appropriate people and resources
Maintain current community and faculty partnerships, and explore opportunities for new partnerships
Work with Meharry and Vanderbilt staff to support other iIPE programs
Meharry-Vanderbilt Student Alliance (MSVA):
Coordinate student efforts to effectively deploy students to oversee MVSA initiatives
Guide students in the creation of MVSA materials
Advise students on university policies and procedures.
Advise and support students interested in inter-institutional educational and research opportunities and connect them with appropriate faculty, staff and resources at both institutions
Work with student run clinics
Manage and support all aspects of the pipeline project
Work with other MVA pillars, Meharry, VUMC and others to plan, implement and evaluate other initiatives.
* Stay abreast and informed about current trends in inter-professional learning and clinical science education; infuse this knowledge into program development and student advising.
* Engage in effective budget administration for IPE and Meharry-Vanderbilt Student Alliance.
* Travel as needed for additional education and program development.
* Implement effective risk management strategies for all programs and activities.
* Serve on departmental/MVA committees as needed.
* Works effectively with MVA teams and support Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance communications efforts.
