End-User Support Technicians are part of an innovative End-User Computing team that is focused on maximizing the end-user experience, supporting and deploying EUC solutions and delivery of solutions to enhance workforce productivity. The EUC Support Technicians are the primary technical interface and support group to Geisinger’s workforce for hardware upgrades, break fix services and for the coordination and deployment of hardware and/or software.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Ability to accurately diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair Windows, Mac and iOS operating system issues.
Ability to accurately diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair hardware issues with computers, printers and peripherals.
Ability to accurately and efficiently install new and redeployment computer hardware.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer care.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Displays the ability to organize daily tasks and work independently with minimal supervision required.
Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
Possesses a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with a focus on Outlook.
Shows familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft System Center Configurations Manager (SCCM).
Demonstrates a working knowledge of network connections and a basic understanding of network hardware.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferred Experience: One year of information technology experience.
Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Technology Related Field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Related Field
Required Certifications or Licensures: ITIL Foundations Certification Preferred.
Industry Standard Certifications Preferred; CompTIA A+, ACMT, ACSP, CCNA, MCP, MCSE, A+, Network+, MCITP
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office/clinical environment however, it may involve travel.
Moving equipment that may exceed 50 lbs is involved.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to daily move or traverse throughout the Geisinger facilities.
Ability to drive a vehicle.
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed (nights, weekends, etc.).
