This position oversees the activities directly related to Real Property planning, development, operations and maintenance, along with services supporting building occupants. Functional areas being overseen are dependent upon the region but would include: Real Property planning, real estate management, facility design (engineering, architecture, interiors), construction, environmental services, biomedical engineering, waste management, facilities maintenance/operations, utilities/energy management, security, parking, laundry, environmental safety, phone/data wiring, telephone operators, courier/mailroom/transport, and food services. Serves as a voting member of the regional senior administration team and participates in regional-wide planning and decision making. Responsible for the Real Property assessment of existing assets and the strategic direction for their repair, replacement, expansion or disposal in support of the region's business directions. Collaborates with physician and administrative leaders throughout Mayo Clinic to enhance integration and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Required Skills: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or business.
Experience: Minimum of seven years of post-academic experience in the Real Property environment (design, construction, operations). Minimum of five years in health care role with line management responsibilities.
Additional qualifications Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in facilities development and operations. Demonstrated experience with processes for interacting with community and governmental agencies that have jurisdiction. Demonstrated understanding of financial, legal, and business processes associated with Real Property management. Demonstrated understanding of facilities occupant support services and medical equipment maintenance. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
License or certification Licensure as a Professional Engineer from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying or as an Architect from the American Institute of Architects preferred.
