Memphis, TN - Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) is seeking a progressive, experienced and dynamic leader to serve as the Senior Vice President, Physician Enterprise (SVP, PE). This is a critical role in leading the advancement of the employed physicians into a mature multispecialty group. This position affords a collaborative, strategic and results-oriented leader the opportunity to build a cohesive and high- performing medical group that is focused on service excellence.
MLH is a robust and financially strong integrated delivery health system with a compelling faith-based mission that guides the system and their culture. The Health System owns and operates six hospitals, the Physician Enterprise (PE), and other auxiliary centers and services. Additionally, MLH has a strong affiliation with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. The Memphis Campus has 630 faculty and 25 departments and Methodist University Hospital and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital serve as their primary teaching hospital sites.
The PE is a key vehicle for the capitalization of strategic initiatives for MLH. The PE consists of three medical groups: Methodist Medical Group (MMG), Specialty Physicians Group (SPG), and University of Tennessee Methodist Physicians (UTMP). The PE has 350 providers representing 26 specialties and over 1,100 FTEs supporting the practice.
The SVP, PE is a critical role requiring contemporary knowledge and a depth of experience in ambulatory-based medicine and the infrastructure and IT support necessary for success. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with strong credibility and a distinct vision for the PE. As the leader of the PE, s/he will be able to clearly and comfortably communicate and collaborate with physicians and administrators, while formulating an approach to infrastructure and systems to support high performance. The SVP, PE will have a minimum of ten years of demonstrated experience in leadership of a large multispecialty group practice environment within a large integrated healthcare system.
