Glacier Hills Senior Living Community (GH) is seeking a transformational, innovative, and inspirational President. The President is responsible for directing, implementing, and coordinating the ongoing operational and developmental activities of GH. This position reports to the GH Board Chair and the President and CEO of Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC).
The President will work collaboratively with the support and advice of the GH Board. In conjunction with Trinity, the GH Board, and senior management team, the President will earn the trust and confidence of residents and staff to support the organization and will lead opportunities for collaboration and growth. In addition, the President will streamline the organization's structure and establish appropriate management systems to support GH. The President will actively advocate, model, and support Trinity Health’s values and principles, which focus on developing local relationships, while identifying and transitioning transactional activities to the System.
The President will ensure that community needs are being addressed through the delivery of cost?effective and high-quality senior housing and health-related services. In addition, the President will promote a service-oriented organizational culture, which is values-based and highly accountable.
GH's President will collaborate with THSC to develop community plans and develop capital plans for repositioning and expansion. The President will establish strategic partnerships throughout Michigan with healthcare providers, community agencies, and payors to strengthen occupancy and performance. The President will participate in philanthropic efforts to advance the mission and stewardship of the communities.
On July 1, 2016, GH became a subsidiary of THSC of Livonia, Michigan. Glacier Hills, a full-service senior campus in Ann Arbor, includes a continuum of short-term and long-term rehabilitation and wellness services as well as senior living options. It will maintain its governance by a community Board of Directors.
THSC, a non-profit senior housing and nursing care organization, currently owns and manages more than 45 communities offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and rehabilitation services for seniors. THSC is a member of Trinity Health, the second largest Catholic health system in the country. St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital is also a member of Trinity Health.
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of healthcare management principles and techniques as normally obtained through a Bachelor's Degree in health administration, business or a related field, Master's Degree preferred, and a minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in continuing care healthcare that includes long term-care and post-acute care. At least five (5) years' experience in a senior leadership role is required.
