Responsible for assisting the Revenue Management Business Analyst – Intermediate(s) and/or Senior(s), as well as Directors/Team Lead of Revenue Management Mergers, Testing, Security & Contracts with the coordination of tasks related to GHS growth from a Revenue Management perspective, which includes, but is not limited to new providers, departments, sites and acquisitions. Project management tasks include the coordination and/or participation in any/all analysis that affects Revenue Management functions, including workflows, systems build, testing, and training. Oversees various facets of the Revenue Management vendor contracts, including but not limited to analysis, ROI, vetting through IT processes, approvals, updates, working with Geisinger Contract Management Department, etc. Supports the Intermediate(s), Senior(s,) and/or Director with due diligence efforts, problem resolution and follow-up, facilitates various workgroup sessions and is responsible for extensive participation in the development and management of all applicable documentation and project plans.
Receives direct supervision from the Revenue Management Business Analyst – Intermediate(s) and/or Senior(s), and works very closely with the Directors and/or Team Lead of Revenue Management Mergers, Testing, Security & Contracts as well as Revenue Management Senior Leadership, providing thorough updates and procuring approvals as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*1. Supports Revenue Management in the various facets of onboarding new sites/facilities under the supervision of the Revenue Management Business Analyst – Intermediate(s), Senior(s) and/or Directors/Team Lead.
*2. Assists with the development of project templates and other pertinent documents for Revenue Management to track all activity related to each merger or acquisition and serve as artifacts.
*3. Contributes to project plan documentation and outlining of steps needed to keep each Revenue Management area on task to meet the deadlines established at the system level. Works with more senior members of the team to ensure timelines are defined and achieved.
*4. Provides input to the establishment and execution of a communications plan that meets the needs of the project, including status meetings, status reports, change management, and issue escalation. Creates agendas, ensure the capture of minutes, and conduct meetings in an effective and efficient manner. Maintains communications with team members, end users and supervisors.
*5. Engages and effectively communicates with stakeholders, including project sponsors, project team members, I.T. functional management, and I.T. leadership on all project tasks and deliverables, including requirements, scope, plans, staffing/resources, budget, risks, issues, schedules, and status.
*6. Meets with front end staff from new sites/facilities to obtain a complete understanding of current workflows.
*7. Performs any assigned analysis to ensure every process is reviewed, defined, documented and approved, as well as systems, vendors and policies utilized.
*8. Assists with data collection and tasks associated with the front end build necessary to support the current GHS I.T. infrastructure. At this level, knowledge of Cadence, Prelude, ADT, OpTime, interfaces, ancillary systems including all charge files will be obtained through exposure to projects. Also, details related to the Revenue Management process, including scheduling, registration, pre-certs, pre-financial clearance, check-in/arrival, revenue capture, coding, hospital billing, professional billing, follow-up, self-pay, cash collection, and reporting needs will need to be learned. Must develop a good understanding of how all of the aforementioned processes interact with one another.
*9. Meets regularly with Revenue Management subject matter experts to ensure the build in place supports Revenue Management needs.
*10. Assists with data collection and tasks associated with support of the back end build. This level requires obtaining knowledge pertaining to Revenue Management applications such as IDX, Siemens, ePremis and processes such as system edits and reporting.
*11. Collects status information regularly from the project team and support visibility to overall project status and activity for stakeholders and leadership. Reports project progress and activity to more senior team members/management/leadership as required.
12. As assigned, meets with Revenue Management leadership as well as leadership from the new site/facility to ensure all processes are addressed and agreed upon. All documentation will be organized and available via SharePoint, Collab or any other tool used by the health system, which requires a respectable knowledge of these products.
*13. Contributes to creation and maintenance of decision documents to support Revenue Management staff that will need to prepare for new activity.
14. As assigned, assists with the management of project risks and contingency plan development/implementation to minimize the probability of and/or impact to the project.
15. Supports the development and maintenance of issue lists, issue escalation, and contributes to problem resolution when applicable.
16. Assists in the development and maintenance of lessons learned documentation in preparation for future Merger/Acquisition activity.
*17. Participates in I.T. discussions regarding requirements of new departments. Meets bi-weekly with members of the Epic I.T. Team and Revenue Management subject matter experts to review all Revenue Management set-up needs, prepares for testing and review desired outcomes. Provides weekly updates on all new department activity to Revenue Management leadership and other I.T. areas as requested.
*18. Documents information provided for each new department in SharePoint, Collab or the InfoWeb for Revenue Management staff to review and prepare their respective work units for the new activity.
*19. Coordinates and documents all steps needed from concept to realization for Revenue Management vendor contracts. Leads operational owners and stakeholders through the various processes of each engagement. Accomplishes research, due diligence, vetting, onboarding of new vendors, and performs various maintenance tasks for existing contracts. Creates and maintains various support documentation for each vendor relationship, facilitates numerous meetings/discussions as needed to guide stakeholders through the process and keeps all applicable parties apprised via regular status updates. Assists with establishing ROI, compliance, access, demos, and procures Sr. Leadership approvals.
*20. Provides all billing related data for the Epic department masterfile. This includes Cadence billing number generation, EpicCare billing number generation, Visit Type analysis, professional billing area setup requirements and provider set-up.
*21. As assigned, assists with the preparation and execution of onboarding and training materials for new staff.
22. As assigned, assists with the preparation of department policies, procedures and standards.
23. Attends departmental and team meetings.
24. Performs other duties as required or assigned for emergent or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform.

EDCUATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field required. Minimum of one year of related Revenue Management/Finance experience assisting with projects or equivalent business management skill set is required.
OR Associate's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required. Minimum of three years of related Revenue Management/Finance experience assisting with projects or equivalent business management skill set is required.
OR In lieu of degree, may consider a minimum of six years of related Revenue Management/Finance experience assisting with projects or equivalent business management skill set is required.
Business/Project Management experience preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or equivalent preferred. Equivalent options include, but are not limited to: CHFP, CAPM, CPM, CSM, Six Sigma, Lean.
