We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, experienced Business Development professional to lead our Business Development and marketing team. As a Senior Business Development Manager you will be responsible for leading and executing business development activities which support overall strategic and business objectives. Across northern Virginia, we partner with physicians and hospitals to assess, organize and more effectively provide high-quality, patient centered, minimally invasive interventional services. We are positioned for growth which makes this a highly attractive role for an ambitious, career focused individual.
Works with VIV leadership in developing strategic growth plans, optimizing revenue and operating income and execution of plan objectives to ensure company goals are met.
Identifies, investigates, and analyzes new opportunities for strategic fit with VIV’s business goals. Establish and cultivate relationships with the medical/physician community/communities to drive organizational growth in new and existing markets.
Identifies new business opportunities and provides follow through from initial contact to successful completion.
Manages business development leads and works collaboratively and efficiently with internal finance, marketing and physician leadership teams.
Tracks and reports data, i.e. patent referrals- to gauge success of VIV’s business development strategy. Provides weekly/monthly updates on activities, leads, and new opportunities to VIV leadership.
Contributes to the company's revenue forecasting efforts with a goal of achieving consistent accuracy of such forecasts.
Contributes to social/digital media and online platforms to increase brand and service(s) awareness.
Ensures ethical and sound working relationships are in place with vendors, staff, physicians, hospitals, and all other professional contacts.
Promotes goals and objectives of the company at conferences, trade shows, and other industry meetings.
Keeps current on issues, practices and new trends related to healthcare; maintains an awareness of developments within the healthcare industry.
Education and Experience
A four year degree - BA or BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in sales, marketing and/ or business development in a health care related field is required.
Experience leading sales/marketing teams is highly preferred.
Current, active network of key contacts and influencers within the region is highly desired, as is membership in applicable professional associations.

Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and additional software necessary to perform the position.
Must be able to pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license and proof of current insurance. Required travel: 60%.
