Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a BE/BC physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with interest in brain injury or neurorehabilitation to join its team at the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute. Fellowship training from an ACGME-accredited program is a plus, though not required. All candidates should be skilled in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with acquired brain injury as well as be able to successfully manage spasticity through the use of botox. An interest in teaching is also welcomed, as Memorial Healthcare System accepted its first year of PM&R residents in the summer of 2018.
The selected physician will have the support of the Memorial Level I Trauma Center, the Memorial Cancer Institute, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute and the Memorial Neuroscience Institute which includes a Neuroscience ICU and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Some candidates may be able to follow a seven on/seven off schedule to include both inpatient coverage and call.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
