WORK TYPE: Full Time
Supports Geisinger Health System (System) by serving as a System resource demonstrating the ability to implement, maintain pricing and assist in the management of procurement contracts.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Works under the general supervision of the Manager, Contracts (Supply Chain Services).

Demonstrates the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrates strong computer, organizational, and communication skills. Requires thorough understanding of MMIS systems.
Demonstrates the ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize requests and activities while maintaining flexibility in changing conditions under aggressive deadlines.
Demonstrates the ability to pay attention to detail and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates confidentiality and security in a strict manner of all information entering and being disseminated out of the department.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive working relationships with all staff System-wide with an emphasis on clear written documentation of events, changes, and decisions.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other relevant analytical/data field is required. Minimum one year of experience working with information systems and databases required.
Associate’s degree in a related field with a minimum three years of experience working with information systems and databases required. Experience must include: 1.) using, maintaining and manipulating large data files, and 2) providing analytical outcomes and projections. Experience with Lawson Procurement Suite and Contract Management preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Willingness and ability to travel to meetings throughout the System as required.
Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with established departmental appearance standards.
May be required to dedicate additional hours in excess of 40 per week.
Position qualifies as Work From Home (WFH) eligible, according to Supply Chain Services WFH Policy #12.07 on file.
