The Nurse Operations Manager of Bucknell Student Health (BSH) position is a benefits-eligible eleven (11) month full-time professional staff position. Specific beginning and ending dates are dependent upon the Bucknell University academic calendar.
Directs and supervises support staff of BSH, including nursing, support, and student staff. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.
Works under the general direction of the Evangelical-Geisinger Health Medical Director and is accountable to the Associate Vice-President, Community Medicine.
This position is Category 1 according to OSHA Bloodborne Standards and is responsible for essential services according to BSH protocols for Type I and Type II emergencies.
Knowledge and Ability
Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to foster good interpersonal relationships.
Demonstrates good listening, communication, negotiation and marketing skills.
Demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, implement plans of action, motivate and support others. Experience in young adult/student health nursing preferred.
Education and Experience
Graduate of accredited nursing program, Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania required.
Must be BLS certified.
Three to five years outpatient nursing experience required with one of those years in a supervisory role.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
