JOB TITLE: Senior Director, Procurement LOCATION: Justin Drive II DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain Services WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time JOB SUMMARY: Requires knowledge of System Supply Chain Services. Responsible for streamlining the “indirect spend” procurement, contracting and sourcing functions throughout the Geisinger Enterprise. (GHS). Designs and implements an innovative, efficient, integrated, centralized purchasing function including electronic transaction development. Responsible for implementation of supply and service contracts available through Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and implementation of contracts for product lines not included in GPO agreements. Collaborates with customers for implementing project initiatives. Responsible for building and delivering against an indirect spend strategic sourcing pipeline to achieve savings. Implements a communications plan to keep GHS administrative and clinical customers informed and well served. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Comprehensive understanding of advanced purchasing and procurement techniques, including electronic ordering and multi-facility product purchasing. Excellent program and project management skills Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary groups. Advanced analytic skills including use of spreadsheets, databases and supply chain computer applications. Working knowledge of general ledger and accounts payable principles and applications. Demonstrated firm grasp of principles of finance, capital asset management, analysis and cost reporting. Excellent team building, task force development and problem analysis/resolution skills. Self-motivated and exceptional time management skills. Demonstrated ability to be goal oriented and flexible. Excellent supervisory skills with a solid understanding of staff empowerment, motivation and development. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience. A mixture of appropriate education and a minimum of 10 years of experience demonstrated by progressive growth in leadership and operational responsibility may be considered in lieu of a degree. Multi-facility consolidation experience preferred. Accounting, audit and clinical setting experience preferred.
