Job Title: Supervisor Revenue Management Location: Glenmaura Office Building Department: Revenue Management Work Schedule: Days M-F 8:30am – 5pm No holidays or weekends Work Type: Full Time Job Summary: This position will provide supervisory support for pre financial clearance services for Geisinger Medical Center, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, ancillary and clinic departments. This position supervises and implements programs, workflows and new systems to ensure efficient operations of the Geisinger Health System Revenue Cycle program in order to generate world class patient satisfaction. In the position of Supervisor, Revenue Cycle MyVisit Hospital Scheduled Admission responsibilities include pre registration of patient demographics, insurance verification, collection of outstanding dollars, explanation of patient’s benefits as they pertain to in network vs out of network, co-pays, deductible, accumulators, other out of pocket expense, creating Carepricers with the ability to supply a patient with an estimate prior to service, obtaining out of network referrals, ensuring referrals are in place prior to service, working with payor liasions as it relates to insurance requirements and precerts. These responsibilities further include supervision/management of 15 FTE’s. Plans, coordinates and organizes the overall activities of the MyVisit Hospital Scheduled Admissions team. Maintains good public relations throughout the department, trains and evaluates subordinates, sets objectives, measures results; recommends policy and procedural changes and additions. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction. Directly Accountable to the Manager, MyVisit Hospital Scheduled Admissions Competencies and Skills: Demonstrates good organizational skills and effective communication skills. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates ability to facilitate processes to achieve objectives. Demonstrates ability to work independently. Acquired knowledge with multiple computerized applications (i.e. Epic ADT, Cadence Hyperspace, Carepricer, CORE, Rev Runner, Ability, Navinet, Promise, GHP, IDX, Siemens, and Tower. Demonstrates the ability to work well in a team atmosphere fostering a positive, professional relationship with all staff across department and company lines. Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required. Minimum of five years Business Office experience in health care (preferably) or revenue management required. In lieu of degree, may consider a minimum of 10 years of revenue management, finance, or related experience required. Must be knowledgeable in medical insurance coverages, CPT, and ICD-9 coding, federal and state assistance programs, accounting and general office procedures.
