JOB SUMMARY: In your pivotal and rewarding role as Associate Program Manager in the Wilkins Lab, you will function as a team player with personal initiative and responsibility. Duties/requirements will include, but not be limited to:
Supporting TWO (2) multi-institutional projects
Fluency in Spanish; must enjoy working with diverse groups of community members
Meeting scheduling, meeting minutes, and follow-up materials
Liaison between study investigators, staff, and members of the community
Assisting in coordinating internal/external program activities, which may include research and education meetings, events, seminars, and workshops
Communicating thru email, phone, REDCap, and other types of media
Required :
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) + <1 year relevant experience
Able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work with a diverse constituency, handling sensitive and complex information
Very strong organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to accuracy
Ability to work cohesively as a team, as well as think and function independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven interpersonal skills
Ability to travel (10% or less)
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and planning skills
Proficiency with MS Office Programs, REDCap plus other data management tools, along with ability to learn new programs as needed

This position with the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance will be located at the Biomedical Sciences Building at 1005 Dr. D. B. Todd Jr. Blvd; Nashville, TN 37208. The Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance develops and supports collaborative initiatives. It has provided opportunities for collaboration between Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and for collaboration with projects in the community. The elimination of health disparities is a major focus of Alliance Projects. Dr. Consuelo H. Wilkins assumed the role of Executive Director on June 1, 2012, and leads the Alliance in expanding its community-engaged research initiatives while continuing to cultivate its existing programs.
