JOB TITLE:Admissions Counselor LOCATION: Marworth DEPARTMENT:Admissions WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Nights WORK TYPE: Full time JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing patient evaluations and assessments to ensure the pre-admission process results in the appropriate level of care set by the patient placement criteria of ASAM. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrated knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/chemical dependency and treatment in a recovery care setting. Demonstrated working knowledge of the 12 principles of Alcoholic Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous as well as knowledge about Alanon. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the ASAM dimensional levels of care and DSM-V. Demonstrated computer experience to include data entry. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work within a team structure. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field required. Master's Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field preferred.
