Legacy Medical Group is made up of more than 50 primary care clinics and specialty practices plus doctors who specifically care for hospitalized patients. We have more than 800 care providers in Legacy Medical Group. The result is that anywhere you get care in the Legacy system, you have access to a range of specialists.
The Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Vice President acts in a dyad partnership with LMG President to lead all aspects of the medical group and ensure we achieve our aspiration of becoming the premiere multi-specialty group in the Northwest. Refines the LMG Strategic Plan, and ensures it aligns with the priorities and strategic initiatives of Legacy Health. Takes a prominent role in encouraging positive and collaborative relationships with physicians across the medical group. Leads team of administrative direct reports in oversight of clinic performance. Actively guides the development of employee engagement efforts and workforce recognition and wellness measures. Represents LMG in collaborations with other services within Legacy such as Finance, Revenue Cycle, Real Estate and Facilities, Quality and Patient Experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Masters preferred.
Minimum of eight years progressively responsible experience within a healthcare administrative leadership environment. Prior physician office/clinic experience required. Experience in a competitive, managed care market preferred. Experience in developing and implementing effective operational and financial systems and controls.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of a medical group practice sufficient to ensure clinical staff productivity, retention and achievement of group financial objectives.
In-depth knowledge in developing, implementing and managing staffing systems/designs that efficiently and effectively support medical group clinical operations.
Ability to assume responsibility and represent the Medical Group in exercising authority over assigned work functions.
Ability to bring a long-term vision to the strategic planning process. Ability to provide leadership in all areas of group practice governance.
Demonstrated ability to manage people in setting goals, giving appropriate support, evaluating, directing, and holding employees accountable while maintaining high morale and productivity.
Understanding of LEAN principles and Performance Excellence
Articulate, able to listen, and responsive to legitimate concerns.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with physicians.
Knowledge of administrative and managerial systems and roles. Skill in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives. Skill in organizing and conducting internal and external meetings.
Knowledge of financial and marketing systems.
Knowledge of healthcare issues, demographics and payment systems. Well versed in value-based contracts.
Knowledge of the purposes, organization and policies of the medical group sufficient to interact with other system leaders.
Ability to represent the best interests of the organization without prejudice. Ability to make decisions and act objectively and without partisanship.
