Working within the Department of Family Medicine, you will provide data collection, data entry, and research/administrative support for the multi-year evaluation of a pilot health care delivery program. This will involve the recruitment of study participants, conducting focus groups, and administering telephone surveys with study participants. You will help translate study documents, transcribe study materials, conduct literature searches, and create tracking data collection instruments and progress reports. You will also assist with a wide variety of administrative responsibilities.
*This is an 18-month limited position, may convert to career.
QualificationsWe’re seeking a flexible, independent, detail-oriented individual with: Research experience, including participant recruitment, retention, interviewing and follow-up Previous experience conducting basic medical literature reviews Expertise with qualitative research methods Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, decision-making and multi-tasking skills PC proficiency with word processing, graphics, spreadsheet and statistical software Fluency in current policies relating to human research subjects Bilingual English/Spanish abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Valid and unrestricted California Driver’s license and the ability to travel locally by personal vehicle Previous experience working in health care systems, health services research, and qualitative research projects preferred Expertise in the IRB, including preparation and submission of applications a plus Background in survey research and/or clinical trials desired Ability to use journal and granting agency study guidelines to prepare manuscripts, proposals, and bibliographies preferred Experience with STATA and SAS highly desirable
