WellStar Medical Group (WMG) is seeking physician executive candidates for the role of Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Care Division. WMG was launched in 1994 and supports more than 1,300 providers, 40 specialties and more than 250 clinical sites. WMG generates 3.1M patient encounters and close to $500M in net revenue annually, ranking high in provider satisfaction and engagement as a Best Place to Work. Reporting to the EVP and President of WMG, physician executive, the Senior Vice President, Ambulatory Care Division (SVP-ACD) in collaboration with a dyad executive partner, will lead strategy and operations for nearly 300 primary care service line providers that include Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Urgent Care. The SVP will work with senior leadership to implement the vision, mission, and strategic clinical priorities to position the SVP- ACD as a regional and national leader in innovative and integrated clinical services. The SVP will ensure all programs support the Quadruple Aim (increased outcomes, patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction and reduce cost) and serve the broader mission and objectives of WMG and WellStar Health system.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications:
MD/DO; Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. Other specialties will be considered on an individual basis.
Metrics focus with prior track record of success in achieving measurable operational improvement; working knowledge and application of contemporary change management and PI methodologies.
Demonstrated success leading a multi-site, comprehensive primary care program within an integrated delivery system.
The successful candidate will possess strong ability to influence and inspire peers, providers and staff, strong written and verbal communication skills, high EQ and a servant leadership style.
Successful track record of peer-to-peer coaching to improve patient engagement, productivity and other areas of provider performance.
Experience in launching telemedicine program desirable. Experience in developing patient- driven delivery models desirable.
Strong business, operational and financial management knowledge.
MBA or additional business coursework preferred; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
