Responsible for the design and layout of printed materials for the facility. Provides website layout, design and implementation support. Provides digital signage, creative development and implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets with administration/department management to gather information in order to develop design concepts for each project.
Responsible for the design, layout and specifications for all printed and graphic materials for the facility.
Responsible for selecting all aspects of the printed project: photographs, illustrations, size, colors, ink, type, paper, positioning of print and art, printing technique, etc. within budget.
Presents all design concepts to Manager of Marketing Services for approval before proceeding with printing.
Checks printer's proofs before final printing, makes changes as needed.
Coordinates projects and schedules deadlines; ensures all printed/graphic projects meet deadlines.
Maintains a good working relationship within the department and with other departments.
Ensures there is good communication between all departments/personnel involved on the same project.
Stays current with changes, developments, new technologies in the graphic arts field through continuing education and professional journals and societies.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
Adheres to dress code.
Completes annual educational requirements.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Wears identification while on duty.

Attends department staff meetings as required within the department.

High School graduate or equivalent.
Completion of graphic or commercial arts program.
A minimum of one year experience as a graphic artist.
