The Central Western Massachusetts VA Healthcare System is searching for a Board Certified Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to join their dynamic healthcare team as the Associate Chief of Primary Care.
This position provides administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for the service to assure high quality health care delivery using a team based model (Patient Aligned Care Team- PACT) in a system incorporating Whole Health principles. The Associate Chief will oversee 3-6 direct reports (Medical Directors).
The position reports directly to the Chief, Primary Care. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential, as the successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary staff in the delivery of excellent health care to our nation's Veterans.
The Associate Chief will be expected to practice within primary care (reduced patient panel) in addition to fulfilling administrative responsibilities
Work Hours: Primary tour of duty will be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday however some of the clinical activities will occur outside VA administrative hours.
Salary Range: $225,000 -$234,000 per year
A recruitment/relocation incentive may be available for a highly qualified candidate
Selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Participation is based on funds availability.
