Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is seeking an energetic and collegial individual to lead an established pediatric physiatry team in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in program development, a broad base of clinical knowledge and particular interest/expertise in developmental pediatrics, spasticity, and neuromuscular conditions.
With plans to open in the fall of 2022, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will begin a 156,000 square feet expansion that will include a dedicated rehabilitation unit with gym.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
About the Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Program
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital’s Rehabilitation Program includes both inpatient and outpatient divisions. The Pediatric and Adolescent Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is a six-bed, CARF-accredited comprehensive program that includes PT, OT, SLT, neuropsychology, Child Life, nursing and social work. Outpatient services include aquatic therapy, serial casting, sports and vestibular therapy for concussion/brain injury patients. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital maintains a collaborative relationship with the adult rehabilitation programs offered by the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute of South Florida, a facility of Memorial Healthcare System.
