The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Opens and closes the gift shop, operates the cash register, balances daily sales, restocks merchandise, and maintains a customer service approach at all times.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction as well as enhance the patient experience.
Works under the supervision of the Manager, Retail Services.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates communication skills.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in order to enhance the patient experience.
Demonstrates ability to perform basic mathematical calculations easily.
Ability to operate a cash register required. Basic computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
2-4 years of previous retail experience required.
Requires three months of on-the-job training to become familiar with job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in the gift shop.
Must be able to life and carry a minimum of 20 lbs. Push carts with up to 50 lbs.
Travel between facilities to ensure coverage in the retail shops in order to adhere to specified hours. *may be required.
