The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Leads and participates in the day-to-day activities of the Holy Spirit Medical Group (HSMG). Monitors, evaluates, and coaches support staffs’ daily performance and productivity. Monitors quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. Ensures system and regulatory compliance by the team. Adjusts staffing levels according to pre-established productivity guidelines. May represent the department on committees and in meetings.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES:
Demonstrates the ability to adapt workflow operations to the provider preferences, while maintaining the confines of the primary care operational workflows.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates detailed knowledge in the following areas: medical records, appointments, registration, billing, desk flow and secretarial procedures.
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of electronic media such as EPIC, Kronos, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Demonstrates a good understanding of office systems.
Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and the ability to interact with people from all organizational levels and to build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy, overcoming any political, bureaucratic, and/or resource barriers to participation.
The ability and willingness to work effectively as a team player, as well as an individual contributor with personal accountability.
Excellent diplomatic communication and presentation skills and superior organizational and time management skills necessary. Must possess the ability to deliver clear, concise communication and presentations appropriate for audience.
The ability to work under stress, due to consistent high demand for resources, and to effectively assess and cope with challenging situations.
The ability to be flexible, versatile, and adaptable in day to day activities conducted in various clinical environments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree preferred. Completed Medical Assistant diploma/degree program, followed by successful completion of CMA examination preferred OR Completed Medical Assistant diploma/degree program preferred.
Minimum three to five years clinic office experience required. Minimum one of those years in a leadership role preferred.
EPIC experience required, including Cadence experience
Maintains current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinical office environment. Travel required between sites and to the hospital campuses.
May be subject to negative outbursts from patients and/or patient families.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.
