San Luis Valley Health is seeking a Director of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services. This position is responsible for supervising EMS staff to deliver care, and within the scope of practices, coordinating care delivery which will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, hospital policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines or regulation. The Director will manage the operations of the Ambulance Division, is involved in Emergency Preparedness and security for SLVH, and participates in Administrator on Call and Environment of Care functions.

A: Education (or equivalent years of experience):
Licensed Paramedic in the State of Colorado
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field preferred
Must hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS and ITLS certifications
Must have computer experience with proficiencies in Microsoft Office products.
Must be able effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public as well as analyze data and information and develop actions plans as needed.
Display understanding of regulatory requirements to ensure department meets Conditions of Participation and/or regulatory requirements necessary to maintain patient safety.
Understands patient satisfaction goals and develops plans to improve upon or sustain.
