The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Provides pastoral/spiritual care and support to patients, families, significant others, and associates of all faith traditions and denominations, and those who claim no particular religious beliefs or affiliations. The care is provided through spiritual assessment and interventions such as, but not limited to, active listening, prayer, sacraments, counseling, and teaching. The individual helps to create a positive working environment that fosters wellness, prevention and community ministry which supports the mission of the CHRISTUS Health System throughout the continuum of care.
Able to assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, significant others, and staff members through support, intervention and a variety of pastoral techniques. Able to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing professional consultation regarding spiritual needs and plan of care. Able to seek appropriate resources outside one's own faith tradition.
Master of Divinity degree or equivalent
Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education
Minimum of one year of experience in pastoral ministry
