PROJECT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The Center for Health Services Research seeks a Project Manager to oversee timely completion of small/medium research projects or components of larger projects under moderate supervision. Projects may include evaluation of health system operational initiatives, involving significant collaboration among departments across the enterprise, or investigator-initiated research projects. The position requires outstanding communication and organizational skills to effectively manage project timelines, engage team members, support project execution and analysis, and facilitate high-quality deliverables.

About the Department

The mission of the Center for Health Services Research is to improve the quality, value, and equity of healthcare delivery for all people through translational research and training initiatives. Housed within the Institute for Medicine and Public Health, the Center for Health Services Research provides programmatic support to 17 research centers and programs engaged in research on developing, implementing, and evaluating interdisciplinary solutions to improve health care delivery and health outcomes at the patient and population level. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop research project plans, goals, and objectives in collaboration with the Center Director.
• Manage multiple research projects at the same time to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
• Anticipate resource needs, set priorities, schedule activities, and organize work for each project.
• Provide leadership in the execution of day-to-day project activities.
• Organize project materials, track project progress, and maintain a schedule of projects and timelines.
• Participate in meetings with project collaborators, including prepare/present project updates, schedule meetings, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
• Draft project-related documents, reports, and presentations for scientific, clinical, and operational audiences.
• May develop data collection tools and summarize results.
• Work with project stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, and/or other needs to bring about successful completion of the project.
• Effectively communicate with collaborators across the institution.
