The Department of Radiology ( https://www.mskcc.org/departments/radiology ) is seeking a highly motivated physician and leader who enjoys program building and faculty development in a complex and fast-paced environment. The successful individual will report to the Department Chair, and the primary job responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the clinical, academic and administrative aspects of the Breast Imaging Service, emphasizing continuous improvement through strategic planning, coordination, and performance evaluation.
Fostering a sense of community within the Breast Imaging Service (including Radiologists based at Manhattan and the Regional Network) and with other Services in the Department of Radiology, ensuring a coordinated approach to achieve excellent patient care.
Conducting and nurturing cutting edge breast imaging research and education.
Recruiting new faculty and developing existing faculty, including providing opportunities for them via local, national and international external networking.
Maintaining compliance with departmental and institutional policies as well as government rules and regulations.
The ideal candidate should have:
Board eligible or Board certified in diagnostic radiology
Eligible for licensure in New York
Outstanding professional skills and reputation: Possess and model excellence in Breast Radiology clinical service, education and research.
Interpersonal effectiveness and influence: Possess the ability to motivate, unite and empower others.
