Part-Time Clinical Supervisor, Patient Flow Command Center, Weekends
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 7 am - 7:30 pm, including holidays
The Clinical Supervisor oversees administrative, educational and clinical support to hospital and nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient operations for the delivery of high quality patient care. In collaboration with leadership staff, contributes to an environment which promotes excellence in clinical practice, staff education, and unit operations.

You will:
Oversee the coordination of patient flow throughout the hospital with special consideration of individual patient clinical needs to ensure a high standard of patient care.
Direct and assist hospital staff in determining work priorities and making decisions to ensure that the needs of patients and their families are met efficiently and effectively.
Work collaboratively with all members of the Patient Flow Command Center and clinical units to ensure the right patient gets to the right bed in a timely manner.
Facilitate admissions, discharges and transfer of patients with physician, nursing and administrative leadership; Interact with clinical teams to prevent unnecessary delays in bed turnover, patient flow gridlock, and ineffective hospital capacity utilization.
Evaluate clinical needs of patients waiting for beds in UCC, PACU, and other units to ensure patients are prioritized and assigned to prevent backup in outpatient and specialty units.
Maintain communication with the referring facility and internal patient care team regarding external patient transfer status.
Serve as a Tele-tracking superuser and promote use of the system for patient flow management.
Lead daily ADT huddles and maintains communication to improve efficiency of bed placement.

You need:
NYS (New York State) RN License
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN), Masters degree (MSN highly preferred). Candidates with a BSN and matriculating in a MS program will be considered
3-5 years of clinical experience and leadership skills
