The Head of PDT IT Center Operations leads the PDT IT Donor Center Infrastructure and Service Delivery teams and builds strong strategic relationships with both Takeda IT teams and BioLife business function. Â This role is critical to managing all aspects of donor center technology and supports the evolving technology landscape across the globe. In addition, this role will be responsible for the Disaster Recover and Business Continuity Plan for all of PDT IT Infrastructure and Operations, requiring strong relationship and partnership building with global Quality.Â
OBJECTIVES:
Identify and address the business needs for donor center infrastructure and service.
Improve the existing PDT IT Service Portfolio and Service Management process.
Prioritization of infrastructure and service projects.
Manages and develops the global team.
Ensure that projects and services align with and support the overall business and IT strategy.
Ensure ongoing cost-effectiveness and integration capabilities of donor center services.
Provide the high quality service and support and intake customer feedback.
Support geographic expansion capabilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders for BioLife donor centers to ensure IT - Business alignment at strategic, tactical and operational level.
Accountable for the efficient and effective overall implementation of infrastructure at new and existing donor center.
Responsible for the design, implementation and ownership of the Service Catalog and application support globally.
Responsible for the development and implementation of donor center infrastructure roadmaps.
Provide input into annual IT budget for infrastructure and support.
Act as the liaison with the other Takeda IT teams and outside vendors to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions to donor centers.
Identify, screen and evaluate new infrastructure opportunities to address unmet business needs.
Collaborate with the PDT IT strategy and operations team on the intake process and submission of business cases.
Proactively seek opportunities to streamline and simplify the infrastructure.
Manage the day-to-day service delivery by coordinating with and integrating the internal and external partners to ensure systems are functioning as promised and that they deliver value and operational excellence to PDT seamlessly.
Support new and existing donor centers globally.
Improve support for BioLife systems such as DIS, DPS, DRS, etc.
Provide expectation of service levels (OLA or SLAs) and performance to the service management organization.
Collaborate with IT organization to ensure that appropriate service design
Manage internal PDT IT-related tasks through implementation and ensure effective transition to appropriate service management teams.
People management responsibilities Support and Infrastructure team members.
Coach staff in core IT competencies and support professional development and job enrichment opportunities for team members.
Proactively contribute to the PDT IT team by leading and participating in team meetings & creating a positive work environment.
Serve as the lead in enabling the BioLife donor centers to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology, define opportunities and identify/prioritize projects.
Serve as the business relationship link between Takeda IT, PDT IT and BioLife as it relates to donor center services, support and infrastructure.
Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding IT requests, projects and initiatives.
Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of donor center technology.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
Minimum 7 years managing or directing technology infrastructure projects
5 years of service management experience.
8+ years of working experience managing large external service provider partnerships.
5+ years' experience in an IT role designing, installing and supporting applications and infrastructure across hundreds of retail locations.
3+ years experience managing global teams.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to listen and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a high level of organization skills.
Advanced degree in business or technology or MBA or PMP preferred.
Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience is a strong plus.
Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
TRAVEL:
Travel Requirements â Ability to travel up to 20% and internationally as required.
