As the Director of Nursing | Surgical Services & FCMU, you would own the managerial functions of setting strategic initiatives, objectives, budgetary and financial responsibility, staffing, and directing activities within the Perioperative and Women & Children space at Paoli Hospital. Partnering with the VP of Patient Care Services, you will implement strategic implementation of system goals, and will assume administrative responsibility in the VP’s absence. As the DON, you will implement the strategic plan in providing direction for the nursing departments, shared decision-making initiatives at the hospital and system levels to support a superior patient experience.

Your highly proficient communication and collaboration skills will come in handy when managing a large scope of nursing departments. Responsible for administrative oversight of ~170 FTEs, you will lead 14 Operating Rooms, 23 PACU bays, and 24 Ambulatory Surgical Unit beds in the Perioperative space, while also effectively leading the FCMU which consists of 12 Labor & Delivery Rooms, 28 Post-Partum beds, and 7 NICU beds.

MSN or other related Masters Degree required. 2. Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Licenses & Certifications:
A current RN license. 2. CNOR certification highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Nursing Administration, prior management experience required. Director-level experience preferred.
Operating Room clinical experience required. 3. Knowledge of administrative concepts, organizational behavior, management processes, understanding group dynamics as they pertain to health care organizations. 4. Knowledge of current national nursing practices.
Ability to lead change, build & lead teams, and develop & maintain inter-professional relationships with senior executives and physicians.
Maintains executive competence in speaking and writing.
