The Senior Financial Analyst provides analytical support related for strategic transactions and projects. Specific areas of accountability include financial modeling and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, special projects and system-wide initiatives. Under the direction of the Finance Director, EPMO and Strategic Analysis, this position is responsible for providing timely, relevant and accurate financial analysis backed by a strong analytical framework.
Perform financial modeling for contemplated transactions
Provide objective and thorough financial analysis supported by research for all significant transaction evaluations
Research external sources of information (competitive, market, etc.) in assessing attractiveness of opportunities
Combine financial analysis best practices with specialized health-care knowledge
Thoroughly evaluate revenue cycle and payor contract implications for all contemplated transactions
Support significant organizational projects (e.g., capacity utilization, expense rationalization, etc.)
Provide analytic support to strategic service line expansion
Stay current on industry and finance trends, evaluating their potential impact on Fairview
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related area of study
3-5 years of finance experience
2 years of M&A experience
Ability to build relationships with key finance and operations stakeholders
Ability to synthesize financial and operating data into concise and actionable information
Strong financial modeling aptitude and disciplined process orientation
Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree or working towards that degree
2 4 years of finance experience in a health care or investment banking related setting
