Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. JOB SUMMARY The Director of Health Care Improvement, will provide Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) with leadership in Healthcare improvement, coaching and guidance of processes, policies, procedures and systems that impact the quality of patient care, medical staff peer review, and performance improvement. The goal is to achieve the BSWH vision of being trusted as the best place to give and receive safe, quality compassionate health care. This position requires collaboration across the system and with BSWH corporate stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and is responsible for operational leadership of these efforts, including all facility and medical staff functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE - Demonstrate improvements in facilities evidence-based care measures, to achieve safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable, and patient-centered care in all care settings. - Consult as the methodological expert in PI tools and methods. - Identify and communicate specific health care processes based on the results of BSWH health care improvement that have the potential to advance best care across BSWH to support the vision. - Increase external and national recognition for best practices in clinical care provided. - Support the medical staff in peer review activities, including the coordination of reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions, to meet all medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Medical Staff Services to address organizational needs related to improvement efforts by the medical staff. - Maintain oversight of resources to support implementation of quality improvement efforts of the BSWH Best Care objective strategies and tactics. This responsibility includes the development and ongoing use of the budget for BSWH.
