The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The Sr Unified Communication Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and leadership for the installation, maintenance and configuration of telecommunication and Unified Communications and collaboration technologies and solutions used throughout Fairview. This includes collaboration, telephony, voice mail, faxing, video, video recording, audio recording, audio conferencing, contact center platforms and customer contact management technologies and systems and healthcare specific communication technologies. Oversee the design and execution of upgrades and maintenance activities on assigned platforms. Resolve escalated service or problem issues with other team members.
Provide leadership and technical expertise for team that troubleshoots and manages resolution of operational problems for assigned software or hardware technologies in the Unified Communications and telecommunications areas.
Document requirements for test plans and customer acceptance. Oversee as well as build, configure, and/or upgrade new or existing system components to meet functional requirements
Ensures appropriate and timely escalation of issues and problems to other team members and external vendors as necessary, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution and appropriate visibility.
Leads the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of technologies, software and solutions following established procedures and change control standards. Monitors the post-installation verification to ensure business needs are met.
Monitors and manages the health of solutions and services by utilizing available tools and following reporting guidelines.
Maintains system documentation and contributes to the departmental documentation repository and maintains intranet documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Serves on a team on-call rotation schedule to address emergency production issues.
Participates in technology roadmap discussions and planning.
Assists junior staff while they perform diagnoses and fixes basic system problems.
Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry developments and best practices in area of specialization. Assists with research and development of new products or services.
Associate (2 year) or equivalent experience with focus in VoIP, Networking and Contact Center Engineering
5 - 7 years of relevant telecommunications experience
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with sensitivity to the audience and content of discussion.
Solid knowledge and understanding of tools used to integrate infrastructure technologies with applications
Solid knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies such as network, VoIP, telephony and integration standards.
Solid knowledge and experience with contact center applications and tools.
Solid knowledge and experience with collaboration solutions; video, conferencing, recording, and faxing.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and within department to ensure quality solutions are delivered
