The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The fellowship will provide intensive training in healthcare services research in the largest non-profit healthcare system in Texas, with an emphasis on evaluating value-based care models and population health initiatives that address chronic disease management. The fellow will participate in several funded projects on evaluating population health and value-based care models related to chronic kidney disease, prevention of diabetes, community health worker navigation, metabolomics, and dietary factors in disease management and prevention. The fellow will be involved in all aspects of research implementation and will work with a multi-disciplinary team. This fellowship will also provide expertise in conducting healthcare service research inside a healthcare system to inform operational decisions and evaluate current healthcare delivery on readmission rates, and use of hospital services such as emergency department and inpatient care. Lastly, the fellow will have an opportunity to evaluate BSW HWC services that includes a primary care clinic, wellness and prevention programs, and a city-funded recreational center.
FOLLOWING ARE THE EXPECTATIONS OF THIS POSITION:
The Fellow will initiate independent research projects.
The Fellow will work collaboratively on manuscripts, presentations, and grant writing.
The Fellow will have numerous research training opportunities through collaborations with the Baylor Research Institute, Institute for Metabolomics Research, and the Baylor Heart and Vascular Health Institute.
The Fellow will be expected to commit to a two-year position (start date between June - August 2021).
