The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Under the supervision of the Senior Financial Analyst in the Department of Radiology , the Billing Associate will partner with insurance companies, the finance team and our patient billing service to submit and track reimbursements for high dollar therapies. The Radiology Finance Team analyzes transcription reports, medical records, and other patient information for financial reimbursement and planning.
Ensure that professional and technical denials are avoided by referencing patient and insurance information and coding encounters accurately
Take all actions necessary to respond to insurance requests and completes tasks related to account resolution according to departmental procedures
Prepare weekly report of each patient and status of reimbursement
Respond to management requests to investigate specific issues as they arise by researching and collecting appropriate data
Work with Radiology physicians to organize peer to peer reviews for reimbursements as needed
Detail oriented, with meticulous tracking and follow-up skills
Able to hold yourself and others accountable to achieve goals
An excellent communicator who is able to review, produce, edit materials for Directors, and interact with all levels of individuals from within and outside of the institution
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
2 years experience
Experience in billing/coding preferred
