The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The Antibody and Bioresource Core Facility is looking for an individual to support two key services within the core facility, specifically the Custom Monoclonal Antibody Development and the Cell Line Distribution Services. For the former, this individual will be responsible for building out the screening arm of the service to include antibody techniques such as flow cytometry, whole cell ELISAs, immunofluorescence and other cell-based assays at in a multi-well plate format. They will also work side-by-side with a staff member to provide this service, which involves some animal work, a culturing hybridomas, managing multiple projects in parallel over the course of many months and working closely with researchers. The person who assumes this role will also work closely with the core director to provide the Cell Line Distribution Service, which involves on-boarding and distributing published cell lines developed by researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and The Rockefeller University (RU) around the world.
Screen sera and media for antibodies that bind the target using techniques such as standard ELISA, whole cell ELISA, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and other cell-based assays.
Immunize, bleed and harvest tissue from mice, rats and hamsters.
Perform electrofusions, culture hybridomas, operate a ClonePix FL and cryopreserve hybridomas
Help create and maintain cell line information sheets and institutional databases
Establish cell line stocks, which are authenticated beyond simple STR profiles whenever practical
Maintain accurate laboratory and billing records
Function as an integral facility team member, which minimally involves participating in standard laboratory activities and working with other staff members in support of other services provided by the core, such and antibody purification and the development of new monoclonal antibodies
