CDM Services is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all Banner hospital, physician clinic, urgent care and freestanding imaging chargemasters. The Revenue Integrity Pricing Analyst reports to the Director of CDM Services and will routinely interface with Revenue Integrity, Corporate and Facility finance teams and service line CDM gatekeepers. The primary function of the Pricing Analyst is to develop and maintain standardized and defensible pricing in support of Banner Health's pricing initiatives.

This position will work with complex data sets to help Banner determine and set strategic prices to align with Banner Health strategic initiatives. This is a highly analytical role that requires the incumbent to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect strategic margins for pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data. This position assesses facility and physician pricing and reimbursement data from a variety of sources and uses it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. The incumbent uses a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and collaborates with Managed Care to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies for Banner Health. This position will play an important role in helping forecast revenue and market demand information. They'll use a variety of statistical modeling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies. These forecasts may also include information related to the market. The incumbent will work closely with the CDM Services Director, Finance and Managed Care to develop sustainable pricing strategies. They will provide detailed reports outlining the proposed price changes, revenue analysis based on contracts and recommend pricing strategies that align with Banner strategic initiatives. The incumbent will present their findings to executives, finance, and managed care teams through weekly or monthly meetings. This aspect of the role requires the incumbent to translate complex data into actionable information that can be used in managed care contracting, market strategy and management decision making. The incumbent may prepare both written reports and visual presentations to share their findings.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with five to seven years healthcare experience in CDM patient accounting, billing, collections, reimbursement and compliance functions. Five years hospital chargemaster experience, including the use of CDM Maintenance software (e.g. Craneware, nThrive, Vital Ware, etc.), and experience with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements (UB-04) and CMS Medicare reimbursement methodology. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD10 coding principles. Intermediate level proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of government and third party payer reimbursement methodology.
HFMA certification, CCS, RHIA, RHIT
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
