What you will be Responsible for:
The Community Relations Manager is a critical member of the Community Relations team and executes the company community outreach. They are responsible for initiating and maintaining relationships with strategic nonprofit partners in the Central Florida region, and connect back to market hospital leadership to ensure awareness of community efforts. They develop and execute community programs/initiatives and are actively involved on community boards and highly visible at community events. The Community Relations Manager assists in crafting major community outreach opportunities such as financial or in-kind giving and helps identify potential volunteer and community service opportunities for AdventHealth employees. They assist in ensuring that market hospital leadership is involved with the community and represented on local boards of directors. They actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively seek, organize, and execute efforts to represent AdventHealth favorably in the community. Promote AdventHealth by working with members of the public and strategic community groups on projects that advance the community health objectives of the healthcare system.
Develop and enhance relationships with external partners, including non-profit organizations, foundations, community influencers, business leaders and more.
Seek out and activate sponsorship opportunities for events and programs that benefit the health of the surrounding community as defined by the Community Health Needs Assessment.
Serve as a conduit between several assigned local markets and the community members in them, keeping leadership informed and engaged in efforts and initiatives that are strategic.
Ensure market hospital leaders are kept abreast of community relations work, and plugged into strategic opportunities to speak, attend events, serve on boards, and be visible in their communities.
Collaborate and communicate regularly with other departments that touch community relationships, such as Marketing, Foundation, Government Relations and Mission & Ministry.
Recruit strategic partners to AdventHealth community health initiatives, and manage pilot programs with various organizations.
Develop and implement communication tools and disseminate information to the public or key interest groups and organizations about AdventHealthâ€™s strategic initiatives.
Promotes AdventHealth leaders and physicians by creating and executing speaking opportunities, partnerships, and appearances.
Work proactively and independently, showing initiative and problem-solving skills and seeking advice when appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in communications-related discipline, e.g. English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, OR
· Equivalent documented professional experience in community-focused work environment
· At least one year of management experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations related field highly preferred
5-7 years of experience working with the community and key leaders
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current, valid U.S. passport, permanent resident- alien registration- card (“green card”) or appropriate document(s) for international travel.
