The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Provider will be working with the Post-deployment Rehabilitation & Evaluation Program (PREP) to support patient care within the program in inpatient, outpatient, & virtual programming. Provider will work with screening, admissions, daily care, discharge, & post-discharge programming. Duties will include on site care of Active Duty Service Members at MacDill Air Force Base, as well as collaboration with other IETP and Intrepid National Center sites. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Broad based skills in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of acute and chronic rehabilitation conditions and be able to provide rehabilitation consultation services for these patient populations. Coverage of the inpatient rehabilitation unit although not a primary requirement may also be necessary on an intermittent basis. Interest and skills in the education of residents, fellows, medical students and other health care trainees is a requirement, as the supervision of residents is a major duty of this position. Supervise mid-level provider ARNP's, PA's and residents in accordance with Hospital Policies and guidelines of the ACGME for Resident Supervision. Provide expert level clinical care in PM&R specific evaluations, diagnoses and treatment including using telehealth modalities. Utilize effective communication skills at all levels to enhance team functioning, patient care coordination, and leadership. Provide clinical care for all general rehabilitation populations. Provide consultation to professional staff within JAHVAH and community providers concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate patient treatment plans. Develop, implement and document the PM&R treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Functions independently as a member of the James A. Haley Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions and documentation. Works closely with Post-deployment Rehabilitation & Evaluation Program (PREP) Medical Director and PREP Program Manager to: Implement the strategic plan to accomplish the goals of the Intensive Evaluation & Treatment Program (IETP) national initiative. Provide leadership in the development of team processes of the PREP program. Follow systems in place to monitor the effectiveness of the PREP clinical program through quality improvement processes and ongoing program evaluation. Assists in meeting measures and standards for accreditation such as CARF and The Joint Commission. Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screenings and completion of clinical reminders for all patients. Liaisons with other health care programs, if necessary, to effectively coordinate service or patient care. Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Service Line Director, or designee. Adheres to operational policies and procedures for assigned program and JAHVAH, while staying abreast of current VA, VISN and Medical policies and procedures. Complies with PM&RS peer review procedures. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m..
