The Chief Administrator (CA)is responsible for the business performance of Premier Medical Group, PC. This generally includes finance and operational performance of all support functions of the medical group practice. The CA provides executive/administrative leadership and oversight for the Board of Directors and the entire organization.
Participates with governing Board in charting and implementing the corporation’s mission in response to the changing needs of the community.
Recommends, develops, and updates strategic long-range plans to support the corporation’s philosophy and goals.
Informs Board about current trends, problems and activities in the medical field to facilitate policy making.
Recommends corporation policy positions regarding administrative and legislative matters.
Facilitates education and training of new Board members relative to governance as directed by the Board.
Consults with relevant staff and departments prior to recommending and establishing new policies to ensure the availability of support and resources.
Coordinates with Medical Director the recruitment of medical providers.
Coordinates the long-range financial development and management of the corporation. Helping to monitor and oversee all aspects of Premier’s finances, including cashflow, budgeting, billings, collections, accounts receivable, expenses and income, with the assistance of the Chief Financial Administrator in accordance with sound business practice.
Ensures the provision of affordable health care services by the acquisition, utilization and organization of resources (human, financial and physical). Develops improved management techniques and practices.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs, and physical properties. Initiates appropriate changes.
Encourages the integration of the corporation with the community through effective communication and public relations programs.
Represents the corporation in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies, and third party payors.
Directs and supervises all non clinical corporate activities through department heads and administrative support staff. Consults with and advises department heads on a regular basis.
Provides assistance to supervisory personnel in establishing department philosophy and objectives related to staffing performance standards, policies and procedures, job classifications, and compliance with government regulations.
Serves as liaison and channel of communication between the Board and its committees and administrative staff.
Resolves any medical - administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful clinic atmosphere.
Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current in the latest trends in clinic administration.
Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Oversees development of annual marketing and business plan.
Assists in preparing agendas, advises and/or directs the following organizational meetings: Board of Directors, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee and others as deemed necessary.
Develops benchmarks for key performance measurements of both financial and operational services.
Develops efficient tracking tools to ensure benchmarks are achieved or to monitor progress.
Performs leadership role with respect to managed care and value based contracting: determines benchmarks for minimum level of reimbursement, develops tools to evaluate the financial impact of new contracts, negotiates contracts on behalf of Premier, with final approval from the Board of Directors and develops of procedures to ensure that contracts are correctly adhered to.
Prepares and/or evaluates pro forma information to determine the viability of capital projects or capital commitments.
Evaluates the profitability of ancillary services.
Leads administrative contact for Premier’s involvement with hospital, organizational legal matters, and evaluation of organizational insurance needs (health, general liability and medical malpractice).
Willingness to relocate, with intent of becoming active integral part of the community.

Preferred, ten years executive level experience in administration and leadership of a physician owned group practice of 50 or more providers.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment to include computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal medical office environment. Work may be stressful due to continual interaction with others. Routine evening meeting schedule with occasional weekend meetings.
