As Business Analyst, Workday Payroll you will work collaboratively with the Payroll Applications and Tax teams on planning, development, and implementation of all pay-related projects and day-to-day production issues. Provide production and project support for the 22,000+ employees and students and organization-wide projects.
Workday Payroll Complete and Settlement
Complete payroll, both on-cycle and off-cycle including:
Completing the Settlement Process
Confirming Transmission of ACH and Paycheck Payment Files
Manage Full Cycle Overpayment recovery:
Calculate gross to net amounts owed
Determine method of recovery
Communicate to departments and overpaid employees to negotiate repayment in compliance with state labor laws
Initiate transactions and off-cycle check adjustments that reflect overpayments recovered in Workday
Payroll Production Tasks
Execute payroll production tasks related to producing gross to net payroll result for employees:
Complete Weekly Workday Retroactive Processing and analysis
Create and load EIBs
Work collaboratively with the Applications Team, HR and Data Center and other departments to resolve payroll file transmission errors
Analyze sick and vacation balances for terminated and transferred employees working collaboratively with the Benefits Absence Team, so that Workday processes accurate payouts
Process imputes for employees in collaboration with Finance
Analyze weekly Workday updates and perform testing of these updates
Audit daily changes to the in progress pay cycle
Provide confidential documentation to MSK legal team
Provide requested audit data and documentation to Internal Auditors, External Auditors and Government agencies
Create and run reports as requested by the Department of Labor (Federal and States) employment labor statistics
Analyze Withholding Orders transmitted to payroll
Create files for Additional Pay for requested employees by Departments
Analyze Parking and Housing deductions sent to Payroll by the Housing Department
Reconcile Imputed Mortgage file and work with General Accounting on submissions
4-7+ years Payroll experience
Exceptional Workday Payroll knowledge
Full understanding of HR and payroll Workday touchpoints for earnings, deductions, and taxes and how transactions affect paychecks
Understand compliance with Federal and State tax laws and Department of Labor Rules for the thirty+ states that MSK does business in
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Office
