The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
At AMGA we’re paving the way for medical groups and integrated systems of care to deliver the next level of high-performance health. We have an opening for a Web Specialist, reporting to the Web Developer/Designer.
The primary responsibility of the Web Specialist is preparing content for web pages and managing the day-to-day content updates in the CMS in a timely, accurate manner. The Web Specialist works closely with VP of Communications and program/project managers to ensure content is readable and engaging and drives site traffic. The position also helps to utilize web analytics and SEO tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
Edit and enter content into content management system (Kentico) to ensure timely, accurate, engaging content on the website.
Prepare pieces for publication on the website. Check grammar, punctuation and style, potentially recommending changes to improve readability for the web.
Incorporate images, videos, and links to other sites on web pages. Use image-editing software to resize or crop images.
Use web analytics tools to strategically gather data for various dimensions of site visitor behavior and website traffic. Develop summary briefs on website data reports, pinpointing key insights and strategies for improving website content and content marketing strategies.
Work with Marketing to track performance of campaigns and KPIs using dashboards.
Deploy SEO tools to identify strategies for content creation.
Use of ticketing system to manage and communicate projects.
Support the AMGA content calendar monthly themes by highlighting theme content.
Guide staff and/or designated content-contributors on the implementation of the generated strategies for website content.
AMGA requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Currently AMGA is operating in a full time telework state due to the pandemic. Once we return to the office, you will be required to report to the Alexandria headquarters a minimum of two days per week.
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum 2 years related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, HTML5, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, and Google Analytics; Google Tag Manager knowledge helpful
Knowledge of grammar and usage principles and how to edit content for web
Experience working in a CMS; Kentico a plus
Organization and time management skills
Communications skills in working with internal customers
