Urgent Care Physician - InstaCare (Stipend Available)

Intermountain Healthcare in Nevada, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable tax-exempt organization, is looking for an Urgent Care Physician to join our mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible. Our InstaCare Urgent Care clinics do this by seeing patients who are just short of ED-level acuity to help reduce hospital admissions. Our InstaCare facilities also have on-site labs and radiology, and our providers perform minor procedures, wellness, and physical exams on a walk-in basis for patients of all ages.

Pahrump is located in Nye County, Nevada, which is 60 miles west of Las Vegas and 60 miles east of Death Valley National Park in California. With its close proximity to Death Valley, Mount Charleston and the Spring Mountains, Pahrump has many options for outdoor adventure. If you prefer to stay local, this small town with a big heart can keep you busy with golfing, hiking, wine tasting, dining, and museum tours. Lots of new home construction in town will keep you comfortable and your commute time low. Nevada has no state personal income tax which can save you thousands of dollars, and Pahrump's cost of living is lower than in Las Vegas. Providers who serve the community in Pahrump also receive a generous stipend.

Position Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week. Our Pahrump clinic is open 8 am-8 pm (schedules are distributed one month in advance)
• Census: Approximately 30-35 patients/day
• No call

Requirements:

• Unrestricted Nevada MD/DO license
• BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Geriatrics
• Current Nevada DEA certificate and Nevada Pharmacy license required prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and DOT Certification required prior to start date
• Three years of emergency room experience

Preferences

• Rural medicine experience
